Forecasted Supercharger stall counts just followed Google Maps into the car dashboard, after Tesla Charging said the prediction feature is now also available over Android Auto.
The September 16, 2026 post replies to Tesla Charging’s June 25 rollout note that forecasted stall availability was going global for eligible electric vehicles with Google Maps built in. That earlier update told drivers they could see predicted Supercharger availability ahead of arrival, with an opt-in so predictions improve for everyone on the network.
Forecasted availability is different from the live stall tally Google Maps already showed for Superchargers. Live data answers how many plugs are open right now. The forecast answers how busy a site is likely to be when you actually get there, which matters most on road trips and peak urban stops where a full station can cost a long wait.
The audience is mainly non-Tesla EV drivers who navigate with Google Maps or Android Auto, not Tesla’s own trip planner, which already surfaces live and predicted stall counts. Eligibility still tracks vehicles that can use Maps in that stack, and drivers need to opt in to unlock the predictions. Tesla owners who prefer phone Maps over the car UI can use the same data on the go.

Tesla Charging did not publish a model-by-model Android Auto list or a separate CarPlay claim in the new reply. The clear change is distribution: the same June forecast feature now reaches drivers who keep Maps on Android Auto while they charge on the open Supercharger network.
