Two years of Full Self-Driving Supervised testing across Spain just picked up a concrete mileage total from Tesla Europe, Middle East and Africa, which said the program has now covered 460,000 kilometres.
FSD Supervised is still SAE Level 2 driver assistance: the software can steer, brake, and accelerate on public roads, but a human must stay attentive and ready to take over. Tesla’s September 16, 2026 post framed the Spain work as company testing that has “seen it all,” not as a customer software unlock for Spanish owners.
Spain has been a major European proving ground under the Dirección General de Tráfico’s ES-AV framework since a nationwide Level 2 testing authorization opened the map to Tesla’s fleet. That remains different from markets such as the Netherlands and Slovenia, where FSD Supervised already has customer approval, and from the wider EU file Tesla has been pushing with public safety data ahead of an October 6 vote.
The new update did not publish crash counts, route mix, hardware mix, or a Spain retail release date, and it did not say Spanish owners can buy or enable FSD Supervised yet. Elsewhere, Hardware 4 cars are on FSD Supervised v14.3.7 and Hardware 3 on v14.1 Lite via 2026.21.6, but those owner builds are not a Spain availability claim.
Spain’s 460,000 kilometres mainly show how much supervised road experience Tesla is stacking before any retail green light there. The next real signal for Spanish drivers is still a customer approval, not another testing-mile milestone.
