Slovenia’s Infrastructure and Energy Minister Jernej Vrtovec tested Tesla Full Self-Driving Supervised at Tesla Center Ljubljana, then posted that the system can handle steering, intersections, lane changes, and other maneuvers while the driver stays in control. Tesla Europe amplified an English version of his take on September 15, 2026, and Elon Musk quote-posted the company note with a short Slovenia reply.
Tesla Europe’s post attributed this line to the deputy prime minister and infrastructure minister: “My impression? The system [FSD Supervised] is safe, efficient and above all an interesting look into the future of mobility. It does not get tired, it does not fall asleep and can significantly contribute to safer driving.” Musk’s reply was simply “Slovenia,” paired with the Slovenian flag and a raised-hands emoji.
The ride follows Slovenia’s September 7 clearance of FSD Supervised as a sixth EU market, covered earlier when Tesla said approval and rollout would begin soon. A Slovenian government release the same week framed the supervised system as driver-assistance that still requires the person behind the wheel to supervise and remain responsible. Vrtovec also signaled a next policy step toward robotaxi pilots, writing that Slovenia should move on from supervised assistance toward robotic taxis.
Owners in Slovenia should still wait for Tesla’s software activation details, including eligible hardware and any local software gates, rather than treating the minister’s demo as a nationwide flip of the switch. The political endorsement does put a public safety frame on supervised FSD after the national approval, and it keeps Slovenia in the small set of EU markets already clearing the feature while broader EU timing remains separate.
