Tesla opened Model Y Performance ordering in China on September 11, 2026, listing the high-performance all-wheel-drive Juniper at 369,000 yuan (about USD $54,450) on its Chinese Model Y site with an estimated delivery window of two to six weeks.
Official specs on Tesla China’s Model Y page put the Performance at 3.5 seconds for 0–100 km/h, a 250 km/h top speed, and 659 km of CLTC range. The trim becomes the fifth Model Y variant on the China stack and the most expensive, sitting 30,000 yuan above the six-seat Model Y L. Hardware cues include a carbon-fiber spoiler, 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels, red brake calipers, ventilated front sport seats, and adaptive suspension with performance driving modes. Fast charging is listed up to 250 kW.
That launch completes the refreshed China Model Y lineup after rear-wheel-drive, long-range rear-wheel-drive, long-range all-wheel-drive, and Model Y L already sat on the configurator. Earlier MIIT filings pointed to a Shanghai-built Performance pack with an LG Energy Solution cell supply and dual motors, and Tesla’s Weibo channel flagged the go-live the same morning. The Performance push arrives as China Model Y deliveries have been under year-on-year pressure through the summer, with the company also running quarter-end inventory incentives into September 30.
