SpaceX Locks $1.11 Billion-a-Month AI Hosting Deal Toward $100B ARR

SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen told investors at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia and Technology Conference on September 10, 2026, that the company closed another terrestrial AI compute hosting deal earlier this month worth about $1.11 billion a month starting December 1 — roughly $13 billion in annualized recurring revenue that sharpens conviction in a $100 billion ARR target by year-end.

“Just earlier this month, we closed another hosting deal, and that translates into about $1.11 billion a month starting December 1st of this year, which is another roughly $13 billion of ARR,” Johnsen said during the fireside chat SpaceX promoted live from its investor events slate. He did not name the customer. The structure matches other recent compute contracts, which he described as roughly six-month commitments with early outs so SpaceX can reclaim capacity for its own models as product cycles accelerate.

That update sits on top of the same session where Johnsen said Starship Flight 14 later this month will be a revenue flight flying production Starlink V3 satellites. On the ground, he put year-end terrestrial compute at a little over 2 gigawatts and sketched a 5-to-10 gigawatt deployment range for next year, with orbital compute satellites targeted to start flying in 2027 and scale into 2028 on the same V3 bus family.

Johnsen tied the hosting pipeline to SpaceX’s broader AI stack after the Cursor acquisition and faster Grok product cadence, arguing the company does not want long-term leases that starve internal training and inference. The December 1 start date for the new deal is the near-term cash-flow marker investors got from Communacopia, alongside the push toward that $100 billion annualized run-rate by the end of 2026.
