Tesla Launches Model Y Long Wheelbase in US and Puerto Rico: Here’s Pricing
Tesla has officially launched its highly anticipated Model Y Long Wheelbase in the United States and Puerto Rico, bringing a spacious new three-row option to its top-selling electric SUV. This expansion comes after the Model Y L first launched in Asia Pacific regions.
The new variant introduces a six-seat configuration featuring second-row captain’s chairs with power armrests and one-touch folding capabilities. Passengers in the third row get heated seats with power recline and child seat anchors. Tesla redesigned the cabin to maximize utility, offering 89 cubic feet of total cargo space. Even with all six seats occupied, the trunk can hold a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase, while the front trunk accommodates another 20-inch bag.
On the performance front, the stretched electric SUV hits 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and delivers an estimated 325 miles of driving range. Tesla upgraded the vehicle with adaptive damping and staggered tires for a smoother, more stable ride. It also features upgraded acoustic glass and suspension to block out road noise.
Inside, tech upgrades include a 16-inch touchscreen up front and an 8-inch display for rear passengers, paired with a 19-speaker audio system. Wireless charging pads have been bumped to 50W and now include active cooling to prevent smartphones from overheating. The updated Model Y also ships with Full Self-Driving Supervised capabilities and integrated Grok AI assistant technology.
The Model Y L Premium AWD starts from $61,990 US. This includes 12 months of FSD, then it goes to $99/month. Cosmic Silver paint is included and all others are available at no extra cost. It includes 19-inch Machina 2.0 or 20″ Uberhelix wheels, tow hitch and Zen Grey or all black interior at no extra cost.
The Launch Series is a limited edition and includes special interior and exterior badging. You get door trim puddle lighting, a suede dashboard wing, floor mats and sill plates.
