Tesla Refines FSD Intervention Screen with Slicker, Less Obtrusive Design

Tesla has released a new software update, version 2026.2.9.10, which tweaks the latest FSD 14.3.2 build. The update introduces significant changes to the Full Self-Driving intervention screen, addressing feedback from testers who found previous versions of the menu frustrating and poorly placed.

Earlier versions of the intervention screen featured a large pop-up in the centre of the display that stayed on screen until a selection was made. While Tesla’s AI team recently added a “Navigation” option based on user requests, the menu remained obtrusive.

The new layout, shared in screenshots by Dirty Tesla, moves the menu to a lower, more integrated position on the screen. The refined interface asks, “Why did you intervene?” and provides four clear categories for feedback: Navigation, Preference, Discomfort, and Critical.

In addition to the touch-based options, the system still allows drivers to send an anonymous voice message describing their experience to help Tesla improve the self-driving software.

Dirty Tesla noted that while the menu still cannot be swiped away, the new design is much better because it allows owners to continue using other car functions while the prompt is active. “I like that I can interact with it later when I’m ready,” said the Tesla FSD tester on X.

Once you leave a voice note, the invervention screen will go away:

The update demonstrates Tesla’s commitment to rapid UI iterations based on real-world driver feedback, aiming to make the data collection process less distracting for its fleet of testers. Today also saw an expanded rollout of software update 2026.14.3, which is the latest Spring Update for HW3 and HW4 vehicles.
