Porsche and Audi owners can now tap into Tesla’s Supercharger network, giving them access to more than 23,500 charging stalls across North America. The move expands the list of automakers whose EVs can use the largest fast-charging network on the continent, following Honda and Acura’s recent rollout.
Porsche announced today that its EV customers will get soft launch access to Tesla’s Superchargers starting September 9. To connect, owners will need a Porsche-supplied NACS DC adapter, which enables CCS-equipped Taycan and Macan Electric models to charge at stations with NACS/J3400 plugs, including Tesla Superchargers.
“At this soft launch stage, Porsche customers will utilize the Tesla app to enable charging. Charging through the My Porsche app and plug-and-charge is expected to follow in the coming months,” the company said.
Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, added: “We are continually working to make every aspect of Porsche ownership as convenient as possible for our customers – and this news represents a significant step for owners of our electrified cars. As we launch this offering, in the coming months, we will be adding more features to make the process even more seamless.”
Starting with model year 2026, all Taycan and Macan Electric models will include the Porsche NACS DC adapter for free. Owners of 2025 Taycans and current Macan Electric models will be eligible for a complimentary adapter through the My Porsche app. Older Taycan customers can purchase one for $185 through Porsche’s online shop or local Porsche Centers.
Audi and Porsche, both Volkswagen brands, are set to follow the parent company’s 2023 decision to adopt Tesla’s NACS charging port across its lineup. That transition will eventually eliminate the need for adapters altogether.
This expansion strengthens Tesla’s Supercharger dominance as automakers rush to adopt the NACS port, with Audi, Porsche, Honda, Acura, and more now officially onboard.
