Tesla announced on Wednesday a recap of its milestones in 2023.
The company said on X it was “Made possible by the hard work of our amazing teams around the world, and each of our owners & supporters. Thank you for helping us continue to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy!”.

- 5 millionth Tesla vehicle produced
- 1 million Tesla cars on the road in Europe
- 20 millionth 4680 battery cell produced
- 5,000 builds/week production rate reached at Gigafactory Berlin and Gigafactory Texas
- Giga Shanghai reached production capacity
- 11,000+ new Supercharger stalls opened for a total of 50,000 Superchargers globally
- Giga Mexico and Megafactory Shanghai announced
- Model S Plaid broke its own Nürburgring record by over 8 seconds
- S3XY ranked the top 4 most American-made cars
- Model Y became the world’s best selling car
- Tesla charging connector adopted as the North American Charging Standard
- Global Supercharging network opened to all EVs
- Powerwall installs began in 4 new countries
- 500,000+ Powerwall installations completed worldwide
- Powerwall 3 launched
- 13 million+ homes protected from outages with Storm Watch
- Upgraded Model 3 launched in Asia and Europe
- New Ultra Red and Stealth Grey paint colors for Model S and Model X
- First Cybertrucks delivered
