Tesla’s Master Plan 3 is set to be unveiled at the automaker’s upcoming Investor Day event on March 1, according to a statement from CEO @Elon Musk on Tuesday.

Musk called the plan “the path to a fully sustainable energy future for Earth,” adding “The future is bright,” in the tweet.

Last year, Musk said that the purpose of Master Plan 3 would be to scale to extreme size, which he also stated would be necessary to help the world move away from fossil fuels. Tesla and Musk have been working on the third master plan since at least last March.

Tesla unveiled Master Plan, Part Deux in 2016, which simply stated four points focused on shifting toward electric vehicles (EVs) and solar. These are as follows below, as Tesla states on its website:

1. Create a low volume car, which would necessarily be expensive

2. Use that money to develop a medium volume car at a lower price

3. Use that money to create an affordable, high volume car

4. Provide solar power. No kidding, this has literally been on our website for 10 years

The first Master Plan was penned by Musk in 2006, dubbed “The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (just between you and me),” and stated four similar points focused on making automobiles energy positive, through the use of improved lithium-ion batteries and the reduction of CO2 emissions.

The image used for the Investor Day graphic shows a Tesla logo emerging amongst a backdrop of vehicle castings. Tesla said it would be unveiling its next-generation car platform soon, expected to be a mass-marketed and more affordable electric car.
