Tesla is planning to add a new showroom and service center in Northern Netanya, Israel, according to a property lease signed by the automaker, reports Globes.

The site is located at 39-41 Hakadar Street in Netanya, complete with a nearby store from Chinese automaker Geely Geometry.

The property includes about 3,300 square meters (10,826.77 square feet) of pre-built space, and the deal also includes building rights for 300-400 percent of the surrounding area for commerce and offices, according to broker Yair Levy Real Estate Strategy.

The property was originally listed as for sale for NIS 47 million, though Tesla reportedly signed a long-term lease on the property — despite several vehicle importers apparently having expressed interest in the location.

The Tesla store is expected to open by August, and it will also include a service center and the ability for customers to trade-in old EVs for new models. This will be Tesla’s first permanent showroom in Israel, and not just temporary pop-up shops in malls.

Tesla delivered its 10,000th vehicle in Israel in November, after the company launched its Model Y SUV last April, which was Israel’s second vehicle from the lineup. Tesla Model 3 deliveries began in Israel in 2021.
