Tesla FSD Beta 2-Week Strikeouts Now Mentioned in Software Code
With Tesla software update 2022.44.35.10 debuting last night, it released Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta 10.69.25.2 for testers.
The latest update brings two-week FSD beta strikeouts within internal code, and not just on release notes, shared by developer @greentheonly on Tuesday evening.
The limit applies to those who receive three strikes on FSD beta, now only locking them out for two weeks before reinstating their access to the system. The strikeout rule applies to those for whom “improper use is detected,” geared toward avoiding driver use of Autopilot-monitor-defeating devices.
“The FSD Beta feature can only be removed per this suspension method and it will be unavailable for approximately two weeks,” said release notes for FSD Beta 10.69.25.1 earlier this month. Now, this change is within the software code, says Green.

Just a few weeks ago, Tesla announced that the FSD beta had reached 285,000 cars in 2022, adding that the software has now become available to any users that purchase it.
Earlier this week, documents appeared to have leaked Tesla’s Hardware 4.0, which is the next generation of the computer that powers Autopilot and the FSD beta. The automaker will apparently reduce front cameras on HW4 from three to two, as a result of higher pixel density and field of view features of the new AP4 cameras.
