Tesla Cars Overflow the Port of Shanghai Awaiting Export, Shows Flyover [VIDEO]
It appears that Tesla is preparing for another huge quarter of exports from China, a new video from one of the country’s ports shows.
Tesla’s vehicles have nearly filled their dedicated parking lots at Shanghai’s port, as seen in a drone flyover video from Wu Wa.
The video shows a number of different parking lots filled to the brim with Tesla vehicles awaiting export, the vast majority of which appear to be Model Y and Model 3 units.
Several areas of Tesla’s parking at the port can be seen in the video, including the docks from which the ships actually take off.
The exports are expected to be delivered to a number of markets around the area, with some of the ships taking two to four weeks to arrive.
Wu Wa also notes in the comments that no cargo ships transporting Teslas had been spotted at the time of the video, though some had arrived during the January 5 update.
The video comes just after more price cuts to Tesla’s Model 3 and Y units in China, now starting at 229,900 yuan ($33,468 USD) and 259,900 yuan ($37,836 USD), respectively.
