Tesla highlighted a number of its 2022 achievements in a post on Twitter on Thursday, ranging from the company’s deployment of Superchargers, to its opening of new Gigafactories in Germany and the U.S.
The thread begins with a thank you to “owners, supporters & employees” for helping Tesla make sustainable energy an option for the world, noting that “2022 was a huge year for EVs.”

In a recap of 2022 later in the thread, Tesla noted the following achievements:
- The expansion of the Supercharger network to all 50 U.S. states, with 40,000 worldwide
- 15 European countries saw the Supercharger network opened to non-Tesla EVs
- Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg and Gigafactory Texas opened
- Tesla published its third Impact Report
- Models 3/Y ranked the most American-made vehicles
- Models S/Y topped Euro NCAP’s safety score index
- 87 major features deployed via 11 over-the-air software updates
- Plaid Track Mode launched
- 2 million vehicles built at Fremont and Nevada factories
- Optimus Tesla Bot introduced at second AI Day
- Model Y colors Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red launched at Giga Berlin
- Megafactory Megapack plant opened in Lathrop, California
- First Tesla Semis delivered
- North American Charging Standard opened to the world
- Tesla Electric launched in Texas
- Giga Texas and Berlin reached 3,000 Model Ys per week
- 500,000 solar panel and roof installations
- Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta reached 285,000 cars, opened to all who purchase
- Record 4680 battery cell output with about 1,000 cars’ worth in a week
- Model Y broke Volkswagen Beetle’s 1969 record for most sold car in Norway
Tesla is expected to share its final Q4 production and delivery numbers in early January, likely on the 2nd.
