Tesla Model Y Breaks Norway Car Sales Record, Held Since 1969 by VW Beetle

Tesla’s Model Y has just made history in Norway, becoming the new single-year car sales record in the nation.
The record held since 1969 was by the iconic Volkswagen Beetle and its 16,699 vehicles sold in one year, but the Model Y just eclipsed that with 16,701 sold, according to data tracked by Norwegian Road.
Norway now has 20% of its total car fleet as EVs, according to data from the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association.
Tesla confirmed the stat by saying, “Model Y just broke the bestselling car record in Norway, held since 1969 by the Beetle!”.
