Tesla Model S and X Touring Showrooms in China This Month
The Tesla Model S and Model X will be touring showrooms in China starting on November 17, according to a statement from the automaker made on Weibo on Tuesday (via CnEVPost).
The vehicles will be shown in 45 different cities across China, notably including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzen and several others.
Tesla plans to show the Model S and X in the following Chinese cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun, Harbin, Taiyuan, Hohhot, Yinchuan, Lanzhou, Wenzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jinhua, Taizhou, Shijiazhuang, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Linyi, Weifang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Nantong, Yancheng, Xuzhou, Hefei, Changsha, Wuhan, Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Kunming, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guiyang, Nanning, Xiamen, Yichang, Nanchang.
Last week, Tesla debuted the Model S and X with their Plaid editions at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which began on November 5 and will continue through November 10. The Tesla booth at the event reportedly “stole the show,” even including a live prototype of the Optimus Robot.
Although Tesla’s Gigafactory Shanghai produces the Model 3 and Y for local markets, the Model S and X must be imported from the U.S. as they are made at its Fremont factory in California.
