Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Electric Concept Revealed
Stellantis unveiled the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking place on Tuesday until November 4, according to a press release.
The electric vehicle (EV) is expected to help Dodge kick off its path to electrification, and it includes three powertrain output levels and other upgrades, such as the Direct Connection feature.
“The SEMA Show is one of the great gatherings of the performance culture, and Dodge isn’t going to shy away as we develop the next generation of muscle car – one that just happens to be fully electric,” said Dodge brand CEO Tim Kuniskis.
“Technology moves forward and the customizers and tuners move right along with it. We’re demonstrating how old-school hot-rodding will thrive in an electrified muscle-car future.”
The Charger SRT EV is set to come with either a 340kW base trim with 455 horsepower that can be upgraded with eStage 1 (370kW) or eStage 2 (400kW) for either 495 or 535 horsepower, respectively.
Another Charger SRT EV option includes a 440kW build for 590 horsepower, which can be upgraded to either eStage 1 or 2 options including 470kW and 630 horsepower or 500kW and 670 horsepower, respectively.
Dodge also showed off a Challenger EV at Speed Week in August, with both Stellantis brands Dodge and Jeep expected to launch their first EVs in 2023.
