As onlookers prepare for the highly-anticipated Tesla Cybertruck, a pair of prototypes for the futuristic electric truck has arrived at the automaker’s Texas facility.
Two Tesla Cybertruck prototypes were spotted being delivered at Gigafactory Texas on Friday by @Joe Tegtmeyer. A video should be posted later today.

The Cybertrucks were spotted being delivered under wraps, located at the factory’s north end near the paint shop. Although they’re covered, the dual-sloped shape of the Cybertruck is almost unmistakable, even under the wraps.
Tegtmeyer caught the prototypes while finishing up a drone video, which he says will be posted later today and will include “much more.”

According to previous statements from Tesla CEO Elon Musk in July, the Cybertruck will start deliveries in mid-2023. A more recent statement also held that the Cybertruck would begin production and deliveries next year.
Additionally, reports earlier this year set forth expectations that the Cybertruck’s drive unit production would begin in July 2023.
The news also comes just a week after Italian casting machine manufacturer IDRA completed the Giga Press machine that will build the Cybertruck.
Musk also said this month that the Tesla Cybertruck would be waterproof enough to cross rivers, lakes and seas — so long as the waters are calm enough.
