Elon Musk Responds to Twitter Legal Threat with Memes

After billionaire Elon Musk pulled out of his bid to acquire Twitter last Friday, the company is taking him to court over walking away — and Musk is tweeting memes about the company headed into the trial.

Musk tweeted multiple pictures on late Saturday evening to mock Twitter’s attempts to hold him accountable for backing out of his purchase of the platform, according to CNN.

Fitting for a response from @Musk, the billionaire SpaceX and Tesla CEO began the series of tweets with a meme about Twitter being tricked to share bot data in court, thought to be a major reason Musk pulled out of the deal.

Then, @Musk followed up with a photo of Chuck Norris sitting across a chess board from the camera’s point of view with a single pawn, while the camera-side player had a full chess set. Then @Musk shared one more tweet saying “Chuckmate.”

On Friday, Musk also said that Twitter “has not been cooperative” in the deal, specifically with its failure to show substantial data on the number of bot accounts currently hosted on the site.

Last month, Twitter’s Board of Directors unanimously recommended shareholders vote to approve Musk’s takeover, just a few days after Musk had addressed Twitter employees for the first time since initiating the bid months earlier.
