Tesla Price Increases Hit Germany, China, Australia, South Korea and More [Update]

After raising prices for select trims of the Model S/X and Model 3/Y in Canada and the U.S., Tesla has now increased prices in parts of Europe including Germany, along with China and Australia.

In Germany, Model 3 and Model Y prices increased, specifically dual motor versions, according to @Tesla_adri.

The Model 3 Long Range increased by 2500€ ($2,627 USD) and the Model 3 Performance by 1500€ ($1,576 USD). The Model Y Performance jumped up by 1500€.

According to CnEVPost, the Model Y Long Range in China increased by RMB 19,000 ($2,840) to RMB 394,900 (was RMB 375,900)

Down under in Australia, @EVAustralia points out Model Y prices have increased as well. Tesla just only launched sales of its compact crossover a week ago and prices are already up.

  • RWD – $72,300 AUD (+$3,400)
  • Performance – $96,700 AUD (+$2,800)

With commodity prices rising worldwide, and supply chain shortages still in effect, it’s no surprise Tesla is increasing prices. Elon Musk has made it clear both Tesla and SpaceX are being affected by inflation when it comes to raw materials and logistics.

Update: Prices increases have also taken place in South Korea and Japan.
