Uber today announced new products and features, that also included numerous electric vehicle related news.

New is Uber Comfort Electric, which lets customers tap a button to request a ride in a “premium electric vehicle,” starting with Tesla and Polestar vehicles.

“It’s as simple as tap a button and request a ride in a premium EV like a Tesla or Polestar. Comfort Electric is now available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Dubai, with more cities to come soon,” said Uber on Monday.

“Our goal is to make every Uber ride an electric one in Europe and North America by 2030,” explained Uber.

To help this goal, Uber now has an EV Hub in its app for drivers, explaining how they can spend less on fuel, save money by switching to electric vehicles, plus coming soon is an EV charging map, showing where to charge cars. Exclusive EV discounts and local offers will also be available.

The EV charging map will soon be coming with real-time availability and charging speeds. Uber says they are on it and there’s more to come as they want to switch drivers to electric vehicles.

Last October, Hertz announced it would offer 50,000 Tesla vehicles for Uber drivers to rent from $334 per week. The announcement came after Hertz said it had ordered 100,000 Model 3 vehicles from Tesla for its rental fleet.

Uber Eats also will debut autonomous food delivery, with two pilot programs debuting, while the company also plans using autonomous electric cars for delivery in the future.
