According to changes made in Tesla’s website code, the company may be starting Giga Texas-made Model Y Standard Dual Motor vehicles soon.
This is according to website code changes spotted by @Tesla_Adri, shared on Saturday morning.
Seems like Tesla is preparing the order page for the Texas Model Y Standard AWD.
MTY14 was a while back a Long Range AWD, then it changed to a Model Y AWD (with same figures as the LR AWD).

“Seems like Tesla is preparing the order page for the Texas Model Y Standard AWD,” said @Tesla_Adri. “MTY14 was a while back a Long Range AWD, then it changed to a Model Y AWD (with same figures as the LR AWD),” said Adri.
On Saturday, Tesla “updated the range and acceleration to match the values from the EPA document.”
Screenshots show the website code mentions “Model Y All Wheel Drive” with 279 miles range, 135mph top speed, while acceleration to 60mph is noted at 5 seconds.
At Tesla’s Giga Texas Cyber Rodeo event, a Model Y was on display that showed “Standard Dual Motor” and showing a range of 279 miles. This vehicle likely contained Tesla’s latest 4680 structural battery pack.
According to Adri, Tesla is apparently aware of his code sleuthing and tracking of the company’s website.
“I think they know I´m tracking it,” said Adir. “They made a couple of changes in the last few months. For example, when they added the Performance from Berlin they had a note “New Performance Trim Berlin”. Tweeted about it, couple of hours later they removed the Note. Haven´t seen a note since.”

Here’s what the Model Y Standard and Long Range 4680 battery cell pack specifications could look like, according to data compiled by @TroyTeslike:
Here is what the specs of the 4680 Model Y battery packs look like based on what we have learned so far.
The LR pack has 828 cells arranged in a 69×12 layout. Each cell has 98 Wh. So, that's 98*828= 81,144 Wh which is 81.1 kWh which is the same as the 2170 LR pack. pic.twitter.com/IvPyUYjNJk

Tesla at one point was producing the Model Y Standard Range RWD in North America last year, but it was quickly discontinued due to its limited range. But this version of the vehicle is currently offered in China.
