Unplugged Performance shared footage from testing its Tesla Model 3 Ascension R at the Buttonwillow Raceway on Monday, as tested against a Porsche 991 GT2 RS.

The two-minute video is shown from inside the cabin of the Model 3, as it completes a full lap at Buttonwillow.

In the video’s description, Unplugged Performance says “The GT3 RS is one of the world’s greatest driver’s cars on any race track.”

The description continues, “We challenged ourselves to create a cohesive daily driven Tesla Model 3 upgrade package that can provide all of the benefits of an electric four-door sedan with two trunks and Autopilot, yet one that can transform into a Porsche 911 GT3 RS rival on race track’s like Buttonwillow.

While the Porsche 991 GT2 landed a lap time of 1:50.4, the outfitted Tesla Model 3 scored a time of 1:49.90.

Unplugged Performance recently unveiled what it calls the “world’s fastest” Tesla Model 3, which the organization modded with the help of Swedish aftermarket Hypercar company Koenigsegg.

The modded Model 3 is the same vehicle that the organization uses in this video at Buttonwillow.

Earlier this month, Unplugged Performance’s Tesla Model S Plaid set an EV record at Car and Driver’s Lightning Lap, located at the Virginia International Raceway Grand Course.
