With Tesla officially set to host a grand opening party at Gigafactory Texas on April 7, according to CEO Elon Musk, it should come as no surprise that some of the first Model Y units are ready to head out the door.
Drone pilot and videographer Jeff Roberts shared new drone footage of Gigafactory Texas on Sunday, depicting at least 11 Model Y units set for delivery.
Roberts shows the Model Y units about 3/4 of the way to the end of the video, taking up nearly all of the site’s Superchargers.
The Model Y units depicted include black paint, as well as the new blue paint set to debut with this round of deliveries.
The video also shows shots of excavation going on in the factory’s East and South areas, as well as an updated set of solar panels on the facility’s roof.
An earlier video from Roberts this month shows the factory pumping out Model Y units as workers get them wrapped.
You can see Roberts’ full video below, complete with shots around the Gigafactory, a look back at how far construction has come and, ultimately, the Model Y units that will soon be delivered to new owners.
