In a newly published YouTube video, Canada’s Tesla Owners Online gives us a full walkthrough of Tesla’s 2021 holiday software update on a Model 3 Performance in Canada.
The 2021 holiday software update started rolling out with firmware version 2021.44.25 (and beyond) earlier this week, bringing V11.0 of the User Interface (UI)Â and in-car software, as well as new features and some holiday cheer.
The new V11.0 UI is a massive step up from V10.0, which Tesla owners have been stuck with for around two years now. V11.0 brings a fresh new look to the in-car interface, carrying over design elements from the UI on the latest iterations of the Model S and Model X as well as quality of live improvements like a customizable app launcher, better controls, improved navigation, and more.
Even without delving too deep into the specifics, this year’s holiday update is much bigger and better than what Tesla owners got last year.
Some of the biggest highlights of V11.0 include simplified controls with the same UI as the Model S Plaid, a feature that automatically pulls up a live camera view of the driver’s blind spot when a turn signal is engaged, the new ‘Light Show’ addition to Toybox, and Dark Mode for the display.
