On Monday morning, Tesla announced it had expanded its Supercharging network to non-Tesla vehicles for the first time, starting in the Netherlands.

This means other electric vehicle owners can charge at Superchargers, but of course, they’ll have to pay for it (it’s cheaper if they sign up for a subscription).

Now, we have a first look at a non-Tesla EV charging at a Supercharger, courtesy of Luc from the Fastned EV charging network, based in Amsterdam.

“It works! Charging the Ford Mach-e on a Tesla Supercharger in Naarden,” said Luc on Monday morning.

Tesla Superchargers in Europe use a CCS2 plug. In the image, we see the Mustang Mach-E parked a bit awkwardly to be able to charge, as its charging port is located at the front of the vehicle. Tesla charging ports are located at the rear, resulting in drivers typically reversing into spots to charge.

To get started with charging a non-Tesla EV at a Supercharger, other EV owners just need to download the Tesla app and follow the instructions.
