Following a successful launch season for the Model S Plaid, Tesla will reportedly hold a team appreciation event at its Fremont, California factory, new documents from the city of Fremont show.
Tesla will hold an Appreciation Event for Model S Plaid employees at its Fremont production facility, according to documents seen by Teslarati, reports Joey Klender. The documents show that the event is set to take place at the Fremont site on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

While CEO Elon Musk regularly thanks and congratulates Tesla employees at public events and team gatherings, this particular event seems to be dedicated to the Plaid team, as it is written on the city’s document of the event.
The move also comes following a delivery event for the Model S Plaid, which also took place at Tesla’s Fremont factory in June. Model S Plaid reservation holders who took delivery at the event also got a special Tesla Model S Plaid badge, designed to look like the going to Plaid animation featured in the car upon launches in Plaid mode.
With Tesla’s Model S Plaid having recently returned to Nürburgring raceway, many have acknowledged the model’s sheer speed – with it even being listed as the world’s quickest car on Wikipedia.
