Tesla Shares Q2 Construction Photos of Factories in Berlin and Texas [PICS]
Tesla on Monday unveiled its Q2 2021 earnings, setting new records for the company with $1.1 billion in net income for the first time, from $11.9 billion in overall revenue.
Aside from detailing updates to its nearly 3,000 Supercharger stations and also how other non-Tesla vehicles will share the chargers, Tesla also announced it had delayed its Semi truck to 2022, while noted Model Y limited production was on track for 2021 at its upcoming Gigafactories in Berlin, Germany and Austin, Texas.
As part of Tesla’s letter to investors, the company shared the latest construction images of these new factories. For the Gigafactory in Berlin, Tesla showed off construction of the factory and the latter’s paint shop.

For the factory in Texas, Tesla teases the Model Y factory construction below (showing 6 months ago versus today), along with showing off the stamping press at the Austin site and the body shop for its compact crossover SUV.
Musk detailed how Model Y vehicles built in Berlin and Texas will have stamped front and rears, while also utilize 4680 structural battery packs, the company’s latest technology.
Lastly, one of the images below shows the ongoing expansion of Tesla’s factory in Shanghai, China, now capable of producing over 450,000 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles per year.
