First Look: Tesla Model S with New 19″ Tempest Wheels [PICS]

Back in June, Tesla updated its website to bring changes to the new refresh Model S and Model X. Both Plaid versions of these vehicles saw red brake calipers removed, while a new revised design was unveiled for the 19-inch Tempest wheel for the Model S, with these aero covers now showing as greyed-out.

According to the Tesla Motors Club forums, we’re now seeing what appears to be the first look at these revised 19-inch Tempest wheels in the wild.

Images were taken at a “Chicago area Tesla store” and shared by user ‘UnicornHunter’ show a Model S Long Range in black with the new 19-inch Tempest wheels. Check them out below:

Tesla recently held off on Model S deliveries, believed to be blamed on a parts shortfall, but deliveries quickly resumed. On today’s Tesla Q2 earnings call, Elon Musk confirmed the company was unable to deliver its Model S due to a seat belt parts shortage.
