2021 Tesla Model S Parts Catalog Hints Track Mode Coming, Plus Tow Hitch
On Tuesday, Tesla’s 2021 Model S refresh was spotted in the company’s online parts catalog, including the 12-volt lithium-ion battery for $165 (USD), and the interior camera diagram – complete with a set of rumored infrared lights for inside the cabin (via Reddit).

Also spotted were wide Zero G wheels with 285 front (20×10) and 305 (20×11) wide rear tires, assumed to be part of an upcoming track mode for the electric sedan.
Looks like I found the unannounced track pack for Model S Plaid in the public parts catalog…. it is some wide Zero G wheels with 285 front/305 wide rear tires! I assume tires will be Michelin Cup2. Wheels are 20×10 in front and 20×11 in rear. This is gonna be nuts! @Tesla pic.twitter.com/2UzG7q4twS

Also spotted was a cover assembly for a tow hitch for the Model S refresh, confirming the latter will be available as an option soon, part number 1565583-00-A, priced at $11 USD. The image looks like a tow hitch cover seen on the Model Y.
When Tesla first released the refreshed Model S, onlookers were raving about its yoke-style steering wheel, which is not displayed in the Model S picture from the online parts catalog. The yoke-style steering wheel is also included with the Tesla Model S Plaid, which was released last week at a Plaid Delivery Event.
While the Model S and Model S Plaid variant are similar in a number of ways, they can easily be distinguished from each other by noticing which badge the Model S has, with the Plaid variant receiving the word “PLAID,” while attendees of the delivery event received a special graphic representation of the “going to Plaid” animation.
