UFC’s Beneil Dariush Given Tesla Loaner, After Calling Out Elon Musk

After being called out on television for a Tesla delivery taking longer than hoped by mixed martial artist Beneil Dariush, Tesla and CEO Elon Musk have officially come through for the 32-year-old fighter and his wife.

Following a victory in his match on Saturday, the UFC fighter called out Musk for the delivery, saying, “Where’s my wife’s car, bro?! I’ve been waiting six months. I’m having a baby. I need a good car. I gotta protect my daughter. Let’s go Elon! Get me my car.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the loaner Model Y has shown up just a few short days into the following week.

On Tuesday, Ali Abdelaziz posted a picture of Dariush standing beside a loaned Tesla Model Y for the fighter’s wife, which Dariush shared, saying, “Not winning any style contest, but we find a way.”

In an interview on Saturday, Dariush confirmed that he is waiting on a Tesla Model X delivery, for which he placed an order in December 2020.

Musk, who is a frequent collaborator with former UFC host Joe Rogan has been criticized lately for reversing the company’s initial goal of deciding to accept Bitcoin for vehicle purchases.

Earlier this month, Musk was featured on SNL with musical guest Miley Cyrus and made jokes about Dogecoin, SpaceX, and spoke very seriously when sharing with the audience that he has Asperger’s Syndrome.
