We’ve seen a handful of Tesla Full Self-Driving tests in the snow now, but they’re all missing one thing: a Tesla snow plow.
In a new video released Saturday, YouTube channel Tesla Income shared footage using a Tesla Model Y as a snow plow. The video is unique, to be sure, and is supposed to be just one of many ways to make money using your Tesla.
The video host uses a Tesla hitch add-on, as well as the SnowSport plow to make this Tesla snow plow happen. The video takes place in Flagstaff, Arizona, but could easily be replicated in any generally snowy location.
While Teslas we’ve witnessed in the past haven’t exactly been major contenders in snowy driving, this Model Y Performance actually plows snow aside pretty effectively. In the video, we also see the host receive his first official customer, receiving a text from a neighbor after driving the Tesla snow plow around Flagstaff.
In any case, the video is a great example of the utilitarianism of owning a Tesla, and especially a Model Y. According to Tesla Income, they want to pay off their Tesla through snow plowing and will see if they can do it in 12 months. One driveway is charged at $30 USD.
