Tesla Model Y Heated Steering Wheel Has Landed in the U.S. [VIDEO]
When Tesla launched Model Y sales in China on New Year’s day, one of the exclusive features of the SUV for the country was a heated steering, making recent rumours come to life.
Many wondered when a heated steering wheel for Model Y would expand beyond China, and now we’re seeing it on the SUV in the United States for the first time.
According to video and images shared by The Kilowatts (@klwtts), it shows a Model Y Standard Range RWD build (it recently launched) with the new heated steering wheel, which appears to be a standard feature, given it’s available on the entry-level trim.

For those asking about a HEPA filter on the Model Y in the United States, that does appear to be here yet, and was not found on this particular car (it was running 2020.39 software), which also did not gain the new centre console (from the 2021 Model 3 refresh) and side door wood trim pieces.
It appears it’s only a matter of time before we see the heated steering wheel make its way to new Model 3 builds as well. While those in warmer climates such as California may have no need for a heated steering wheel, the latter is a must-have for those in colder climates, particularly Canadians.
