Tesla Model 3 Leads Global EV Sales in November 2020
It may not come as a surprise to most that the Tesla Model 3 was November’s top-selling EV globally in November 2020, as reported by EV Sales Blogspot.
However, perhaps more surprising is that, year-to-date, the Tesla Model 3 has sold a whopping 300,488 units, which is well over half of the company’s goal to reach 500,000 deliveries by the end of 2020.
Whether it does or not, Tesla has competed well in a number of markets around the world, especially with its Model 3, which sold 39,335 units in November.
Following behind the Model 3 are the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV (no surprise there), the Tesla Model Y, the Renault Zoe, and the GW ORA R1/Black Cat. These models sold 33,094 units, 11,481 units, 10,010 units, and 9,463 units, respectively.
Overall, plugin registrations are up 133%, plugin hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are up 155%, and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are up 125%. These numbers spell out an increasingly common trend – EVs in general are becoming much more popular each year, and in spite of the major setback of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year is no different.

As the world accelerates into a new age, one of electric motors and autonomous driving, Tesla is way ahead of the pack. Between having the largest lineup of EVs currently available, subscription pricing to-come on its services, and with as many resources as Tesla currently has, it’s going to be difficult for any other company to keep up with the transition to EVs at the level that Tesla does.
