Flyover Reveals Tesla Giga Berlin’s Incredible Progress as of Nov. 1 [VIDEO]
Construction for Tesla’s new factories is happening on three separate continents. As Gigafactories Berlin, Shanghai, and Terafactory Austin are in progress, the world awaits a major change to auto manufacturing processes and vehicle emissions.
In a new video posted by Tobias Lindh on YouTube, drone footage shows progress on Tesla’s new Giga Berlin factory as of Monday morning.
The update, recorded on a particularly cloudy day in Berlin, depicts a number of new builds, including the near completion of the west and south walls for the site’s casting building, in which it will house a few huge casting machines, like it does at its Fremont and Shanghai factories.
In addition, the electrical substation on the site received a major facelift, bringing it much closer to completion. Recent reports also showed that Tesla plans to build 600 plus EV charging sites for its employees.
After news of local criticism of the site’s resource use, as well as the mysterious departure of overseeing manager Evan Horetsky, it seems that Tesla’s Giga Berlin has not faced any major slowdowns.
Tesla is expected to have Giga Berlin completed and delivering vehicles by summer 2021, at which point European customers can look forward to vehicles made on their home turf.
