Tesla Model 3 Performance Now Comes with Pirelli Tires

Recent design changes have led to a number of exciting, refreshed design elements throughout Tesla’s lineup, most of which have had fans excited.

According to a post made on Reddit, the Tesla Model 3 Performance now comes stock with Pirelli P-Zero tires, a change made within the recent design upgrades. The Model 3 Performance previously used Michelin tires, though the same Pirelli tires that currently come stock with the Model Y Performance will now be used on the Model 3 Performance.

Users on Reddit were generally critical of the change, many of them citing that the Michelin tires were just better tires.

One user commented, “Agreed the Michelins are much better. However P-Zero’s aren’t all seasons and are for hard cornering and known for great grip. If it’s a performance car, that’s what you want. You aren’t supposed to be concerned with treadwear with these.”

The user continued, “Want a high mileage tire? Get some all seasons with a good mileage warranty, treadwear rating and with a shop that won’t screw you on the warranty.”

However the new Pirelli tire refresh turns out, it’s only expected that they might be met with some resistance. Still, the new tires may be exciting for some, and the Model 3 Performance will now match Tesla’s Performance Model Y.
