Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta 15-Minute Test Drive [VIDEO]
Tesla’s full self-driving beta was released to a limited number of Tesla owners this week, and the results have enthusiasts talking, to say the least.
In a new video released Friday by YouTube channel Tesla Raj, the host, Raj, takes a Tesla Model X for a test spin, debuting the new full self-driving beta feature. The video is showing the Tesla Model X belonging to @teslaownersSV, who received early FSD beta access.
Watching the Tesla drive down residential roads, make intersection turns, and activate blinkers all on its own is quite enthralling, and the video shares a lengthy 15 minutes of it as Raj talks about each moment’s specifics.
Additionally, Raj tests out the smart summon feature, calling the Tesla to seamlessly pick up its owner without them inside. We also see the Model X pull off to the right to get out of the way while it waits for its owner to get in.
Raj also adds that the driver, like most should, keeps his hand on the steering wheel to prepare to take over at any time if the feature should fail. The US regulator has recently said it’s on standby watching the full self-driving release, ready to help keep the public safe if the feature should fail.
While Tesla prepares to raise the price of full self-driving on Monday, to be changed to a subscription model in 2021, enthusiasts still can’t get enough of the full self-driving on the internet. Watching reaction videos and other user experiences has been entertaining throughout the week, though, like many, we simply can’t wait until the new feature is standard.
