Tesla Looking to Build Service Center in Israel
Tesla showrooms, service centers, and factories are popping up around the world,
In a new announcement, Tesla is currently talking with Israel to set up its very first service center in the country, as reported by Tesmanian (use code TESLANORTH10 to save 10% off the store). The electric vehicle (EV) company is in discussion regarding properties that would be a good fit for the service center.
The new service center could likely be located adjacent to the Kiryat Arye industrial park in Petah Tikva.
Tesla employees brought 10 EVs into Israel in 2019, in order to take them on test trips around the company. The EV company was not able to get permission to import commercially, though Tesla now hopes to be able to begin importing its cars into the country.
When will Tesla start selling cars in Israel?

In Israel, the law states that automakers must first open a car dealership before it can begin importing its cars, hence the need for its service center as the priority. Additionally, the company will need regulatory approval from Israel’s Ministry of Transport and Road Safety (MOT) before it can sell more than 20 cars within a year.
Tesla is in the process of restarting its recruitment campaign for its Israel service center, which has yet to release a timeline or formal plans of any kind.
Still, the move to Israel would be a helpful one for the EV company, if it can only get past some of the country’s strict auto regulations.
