Tesla model y x hitch rack

If you’re looking to buy a Hitch Rack for your Tesla Model Y or X, it’s now back in stock online from Tesla’s online store.

“Designed exclusively for Tesla, the Model X/Y Hitch Rack is a premium tilt-down hitch rack that comes fully assembled out of the box. Installation is a breeze with the AutoPin and locking SpeedKnob. New ZipStrips make loading and securing bikes simpler than ever,” explains the product description.

“Padded arms craddle your bike’s frame and can be folded down when not in use. Need to access the rear of your Model X/Y? Simply tilt the rack down with the conveniently located UpperHand lever. An integrated, same key security [system] (typo!) locks your bikes and rack in place,” explains Tesla.

The Tesla Model X/Y Hitch Rack retails for $600 USD and has the following features:

  • Fits both 1.25″ and 2″ hitch receivers
  • Carries up to 4 bikes
  • Overall arm width – 12.25”
  • Overall height – 36.5″
  • Weight – 40 lbs

Included with the hitch rack itself are 12 zip strips. The rack can support up to 120 pounds, while a ski/snowbard carrier for hitch rack is needed to carry skis and snowboards, sold separately.

Of course, you’ll require a hitch on your Model Y or Model X to use this Hitch Rack from Tesla. If you don’t want a Tesla made Hitch Rack, third-party hitches such as those from Thule are available on Amazon.
