Tesla CEO Elon Musk and pop star Grimes have just welcomed a newborn son into the world. Many people were shocked to hear the child’s name, which is quite unusual. The origin of the child’s name, X Æ A-12, is still unclear.
Tesla fans and curious onlookers have taken to trying to sort out the reason behind the name. As the Tesla CEO is full of marketing gimmicks in the past, many people assume the name is a joke. It’s also reasonable to assume that such a bizarre name has been given to the public in order to protect the child’s true identity.
There is also some legal trouble with the name. Many states do not allow for numbers to be part of a newborn’s name. The “Æ” character in X Æ A-12 is also likely to generate some obstacles. Regardless of the source of the name or its legality, fans were happy to see a few pictures of the new child as the name X Æ A-12 trended on Twitter.
While the news of the newborn is certainly noteworthy, Musk’s companies, namely Tesla have their work cut out for them in the coming weeks. It looks as though some relaxed shelter at home orders may put Tesla’s California factory back to work sooner than expected.
