Tesla’s Texas Robotaxi fleet now stands at 1,204 registered vehicles after a fresh batch of Model Y additions, according to the Texas AV tracker, which counts vehicles registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
The tracker reported late this week that Tesla Robotaxi added 124 Model Ys and that the Texas total is now 1,204. Its live snapshot breaks the fleet into 631 Model Ys and 573 Cybercabs.
That Model Y surge flips the mix from four days earlier. On October 27, Texas DMV records showed 1,051 authorized vehicles with Cybercab ahead of Model Y for the first time, at 544 to 507.
Among other operators registered in Texas on the same October 31 snapshot, Waymo leads with 1,259 vehicles, Avride has 344, and Zoox has 63. Tesla sits 55 cars behind Waymo on that ledger.
Registry counts are not the same as cars carrying riders. The listings show VINs on the state books, not which city each car runs in or how many trips they take on a given day.
Tesla has also been pushing to fill those cars. It recently stretched Robotaxi hours to 2 a.m., opened $0 first rides in Dallas and Houston, and logged a paid 74-mile Houston edge-to-edge ride that cost $133.25.
The tracker does not say when the next registration wave will land, or whether the next push will favor Cybercab again.
Do you care more about who leads the Texas registry, or about how many of those cars you can actually book tonight?
