Cybertruck Owner Runs 2 Groks at Once, and Elon Musk Floats a Fix

Elon Musk has floated letting Tesla owners sign in to their cars with their own Grok Bot, days after Grok Bot started making phone calls for users. The idea came up on X on Sunday, October 25, when a Cybertruck owner asked for one Grok that follows him from his phone to his truck.
Cybertruck owner Larry Goldberg wrote at 10:53 AM PT that his Grok Bot already handles his travel, email, research and investment management. His problem is that he ends up running two Groks in the car, the one built into the Cybertruck and his own Grok Bot on his phone, and they don’t know about each other. He said he wants one Grok with the same memory across his car and his business, so the car already knows the trip he planned, and asked whether that’s on the roadmap.
Musk answered at 1:35 PM PT with a short question of his own.
Log in to the car with your main Grok Bot?

Musk didn’t give a timeline, and neither Tesla nor SpaceXSI has announced a feature like this. Still, his reply points at a simple fix for the problem Goldberg described: instead of a separate in-car assistant, the car would sign in to the same Grok Bot account that already holds your memory, plans and connected apps.
That would fit how fast Grok Bot has been adding access to the rest of your life. Last week it gained the ability to handle your X DMs and act as your Android assistant, and soon after it could use your phone’s calendar, reminders and contacts. Grok is also showing up inside Tesla’s own work, with a Tesla engineer recently pointing to Grok in his work on the Cybercab’s new rearview camera view.
A shared login would also make road trips a lot smoother. Plans made on the phone, like charging stops and hotel bookings, could land in navigation without retyping anything, and the car’s assistant would remember what you asked it last week.
Would you sign in to your Tesla with your own Grok Bot if Tesla offered it?
