Tesla’s Canadian Semi page lists the electric truck’s specs in metric, with up to 750 km of estimated range for the Long Range version and charging at up to 1.2 MW on Tesla’s Megachargers. The Tesla Canada Semi page also carries the line “Deliveries Start in 2026” and a contact form for fleets that want to learn about ordering “one or more Semi trucks.”

According to the spec table, the Standard Range Semi is rated for 500 km and the Long Range for 750 km, with both using an estimated 1.1 kWh/km. Each version has up to 800 kW of drive power and a 40-tonne gross combination weight. Curb weight is under 9,100 kg for Standard Range and 10,500 kg for Long Range. Tesla says the range estimate assumes a 40-tonne load at 90 km/h and 20°C on flat ground, pulling a two-axle dry van trailer.

On charging, Tesla says its Megacharger can add up to 60% of range in 30 minutes at up to 1.2 MW. For depots and overnight stops, a 120 kW Basecharger can add up to 60% of range in four hours, with both figures based on the Long Range truck. The page also says Trip Planner will add Megacharger stops along a route.

In B.C., R.R. Plett Trucking plans to install Canada’s first Tesla Megachargers at its sites in Langley and Kamloops, ahead of 12 Semis it expects in June 2027. When we covered that plan in September, Plett cited around 523 km for the Standard Range truck, a bit more than the 500 km Tesla’s Canadian page lists now.

Tesla is also building more trucks, after it launched high-volume Semi production at its Nevada factory last month. Tesla’s Megacharger network also keeps growing in the US, including a four-stall site in Tulare, California that opened earlier this month.

Would a 750 km electric truck work for the routes your company or local carriers run in Canada?
