Tesla Opens 12-Stall Supercharger in Kingston, Ontario, on Highway 15

Tesla has opened a new 12-stall Supercharger in Kingston, Ontario, adding more fast charging on Highway 15 in a city that sits on one of the busiest driving corridors in eastern Canada.
In a post on X on Wednesday evening, Tesla Charging listed the new site as “Kingston, ON – Highway 15” with 12 stalls. The photo it shared shows a Cybertruck plugged in at a row of white charging posts on a clear fall day. The post didn’t mention charging speeds or what hardware generation the site uses.

Kingston sits on Highway 401 roughly halfway between Toronto and Montreal, and about 200 km southwest of Ottawa, so plenty of EV drivers already plan a stop there on longer trips. Highway 15 runs north out of the city toward Smiths Falls and the Ottawa area, which gives drivers heading to the capital an alternative to staying on the 401. Kingston already had Supercharging before this opening, so the new site adds capacity in a city where drivers coming from three directions tend to stop.
Ontario has been one of the busier provinces for new Tesla charging. Further west on the same 401 corridor, Tesla built a 44-stall site in Ajax, east of Toronto, that was set to become Tesla’s biggest Supercharger in Canada. Larger sites like that one and today’s 12-stall Kingston location should help on holiday weekends, when lineups at older, smaller stations along the highway get long.
Across the country, Tesla marked its 3,000th Canadian Supercharger in Mont-Tremblant just last month, and it’s even in talks with the Town of Inuvik about a Supercharger above the Arctic Circle. Worldwide, Tesla’s Q3 2026 Update says the company added more than 2,100 net new stalls in the quarter and ended September with 8,904 Supercharger stations.
