Tesla has announced a new 12-stall Supercharger in Key West, Florida, and it is calling the site a “Voting Winner Site,” meaning drivers helped pick the location through Tesla’s Supercharger voting program. That’s according to the Tesla Charging account on X, which posted “New Tesla Supercharger: Key West, FL (12 stalls)” on Thursday morning with a photo and a link to the site’s listing on Tesla’s map. The post doesn’t mention charging speed, pricing or an opening date.

Tesla’s voting program lets account holders vote for up to five locations and suggest entirely new ones, and the company has run it quarterly since 2022. Tesla used the same “Voting Winner Site” label last Friday for an 8-stall site in Iași, Romania, and in August it named 36 winners in a single batch while opening a new round of voting. Key West isn’t on that August list or on the Q4 2025 list we covered earlier, so we can’t say which round picked it.

Key West sits at the far end of the Overseas Highway, the single road that ties the Florida Keys together, which makes a charging stop on the island itself useful for anyone driving down. The Keys have shown up on Tesla’s voting lists before, since Key Largo was one of the Q4 2025 winners.

It has also been a busy week for Tesla charging news in Florida. On Monday, Tesla made Supercharging free at three northwest Florida sites in Gulf Breeze, Destin and Pensacola through October 18 after Hurricane Isaias, as we reported in our free Supercharging story.

If you’re planning a Keys road trip, does a Supercharger in Key West change how you’d make the drive?
