Tesla Offers Free Supercharging in Northwest Florida After Isaias

Tesla is making Supercharging free at three Supercharger sites in northwest Florida from October 13 through October 18, giving drivers in Gulf Breeze, Destin and Pensacola a break as the region recovers from Hurricane Isaias. That’s according to Tesla’s charging account on X, which posted the news on Monday afternoon, calling it “Free Supercharging for Hurricane Isaias relief.”

The post lists the Gulf Breeze, Destin and Pensacola Superchargers by name, with links to each site on Tesla’s map, so drivers can check exactly which locations qualify before heading out. Tesla didn’t mention any other stations, which suggests the free charging is limited to those three sites for now.

The move fills in a gap from Tesla’s earlier storm prep, when the company detailed how it was using Megapacks to keep Superchargers running through Isaias but made no mention of free charging. More details on that plan are in the earlier story.

The six-day window starts Tuesday and runs through Sunday, giving local drivers most of the week to top up for free. The Supercharger network as a whole keeps getting busier, too, having recently passed 28.9 TWh of energy delivered globally.

Are you in the Florida Panhandle and planning to use the free charging this week?
