On Thursday, Tesla posted a 9-second video featuring the text “See you next week.” The clip remains almost entirely dark throughout its brief runtime, showing only a faint, dimly lit horizontal shape that is difficult to identify. There is no narration, no additional on-screen text, and no clear view of any vehicle. By Friday morning, the post had received 6.1 million views, 574 replies, 2,101 reposts, 17,253 likes and 931 bookmarks.
The replies suggest many fans believe the teaser is pointing toward something significant. One widely shared reply says understanding the importance of October 1 is key to grasping the enormity of what is about to be unveiled. Tesla North previously reported the next-generation Roadster is set for its big reveal on October 1. The date falls on Thursday, placing it directly within the “next week” window referenced by the teaser.
Tesla has been preparing for the date in recent weeks. The company locked down airspace over Waco ahead of the Roadster reveal and reopened Roadster reservations with a $50,000 deposit. That 9-second teaser, while offering few details, appears to be the latest move in the buildup toward October 1.
