Tesla Europe said Wednesday that 100,000 of its vehicles are now on the road in Denmark, doubling the country’s Tesla fleet in just three years.
The company marked the moment with a graphic showing a Model Y under a glowing 100K. Much of that growth came from the electric SUV, which broke Denmark’s single-year sales record in 2023 with 12,944 deliveries, topping a mark set by the Volkswagen Up! in 2013. The refreshed Model Y led the country’s sales charts again in September 2025, when Tesla’s Danish sales jumped 20.5 percent, according to Reuters.
The previous milestone came in September 2023, when Tesla passed 50,000 vehicles on Danish roads. Regional lead Kim Gaba Jensen said at the time that the fleet had grown from just over 4,000 cars since he joined the company in 2018. At that mark, Teslas made up nearly 2 percent of all vehicles in the country. Denmark has also become an early European proving ground for Tesla’s driver-assistance tech. The transport agency granted provisional approval for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in June 2026, making Denmark the fourth European nation to greenlight the system. With it, Tesla vehicles can navigate traffic, change lanes and handle complex manoeuvres with a driver watching.
Tesla Europe’s post drew quick congratulations from Danish owners, who noted the cars have become a common sight on local roads. The milestone arrives just as Tesla’s software push in Denmark gathers pace, with FSD Supervised newly approved and the refreshed Model Y topping sales charts. If the current pace holds, the next 100,000 will arrive faster than the first.
