Tesla Charging confirmed a new 20-stall Supercharger is live in Ljungby, Sweden, ending nearly 30 months as one of the country’s best-known ghost sites left standing without a grid hookup.
The official post points drivers to Tesla’s Find Us listing for location 30100 and shows the fresh stalls on the pad. Swedish EV outlets including Allt om Elbil and auto motor & sport report Tesla saying the station was built almost 30 months ago and sat idle while sympathy blockades stopped electricians from connecting finished Superchargers during the long IF Metall dispute.
That labour fight ended last month, and Ljungby is an early public step in a wider Sweden unlock. Coverage of Tesla’s plan puts about 264 new stalls across 20 sites still coming online, including ski-corridor stops and two Göteborg pads with 20 stalls each. Once live, the Swedish network is expected to top 100 stations and more than 1,600 stalls, a jump of roughly 20 percent.
The same theme showed up in the spring, when Tesla Charging flagged hundreds of Swedish stalls as ready to energize even while grid connections lagged. Separate opens in Tsu, Japan and Romania this week are ordinary map adds; Ljungby matters more because it was a finished pad that could not take power.
Tesla Charging did not list stall power ratings, Magic Dock access for non-Tesla EVs, or exact hours in the Ljungby post. Drivers should check the Find Us pin and the Tesla app before arrival. For the backlog that sat ready for months, the earlier 244-stall readiness update marks how long those pads waited.
If the next Sweden ghost sites land on the same cadence as Ljungby, corridor capacity into ski season should look very different than the blockade years.
