The Boring Company said on September 14, 2026, that the Vegas Loop’s station count will double by the end of the year, tying the expansion to urgent hiring for drivers and operations managers in Las Vegas.
In a post on X, the company wrote that “Vegas Loop is getting bigger – the station count will double by end of year!” and linked open roles for Loop drivers and a senior Loop ops manager based in the Vegas Loop.
The underground network moves passengers in Tesla vehicles through tunnels on point-to-point trips under the Las Vegas Strip, convention campus, and nearby resorts. That near-term doubling claim sits alongside a much larger paper footprint: in late August, Boring Company said Clark County had entitled Vegas Loop for 123 stations after approving 19 more stops.
Readers tracking the buildout already saw Boring Company flag airport-connector progress and higher convention-day ridership in July, and the company has kept tunneling elsewhere with twin Prufrock machines in Nashville. Doubling stations by December would be the operating-system version of that same expansion push, not just another entitlement map.
Boring Company is staffing for the jump now, posting driver and senior ops manager openings and showing Loop vehicles and tunnel imagery alongside the hiring call. How many new stops open, and where they land on the Strip versus the airport corridor, will decide whether year-end riders feel a denser network or mainly a bigger hiring wave.
